In this curriculum, students learn the exciting and challenging software, AutoCAD® LT. Students discover that everything from the houses we live in to the backgrounds used in movie sets can be planned without using traditional drafting tools. In this introduction to AutoCAD® LT, students get a step-by-step explanation for basic operations and functions of the program’s tools and features. With hands-on projects, they learn and practice such skills as setting up drawing grids for a drawing environment; using simple line, erase, move, and rectangle commands; and creating more sophisticated designs with several different layers. Students enjoy this module because they get to use professional equipment while creating personal designs of their own.
