Students will look at everyday electrical devices in an entirely new way. Your budding electricians will be asking questions like, ββIs this a single pole, single throw switch?ββ Using this curriculum, students have the opportunity to create, test, and analyze a variety of circuits with toggle, momentary, and rotary switches, rheostat and relay switches, transistors, and diodes. Once they grasp basic concepts, they must face tougher challenges. For example, they create light-sensitive circuits using a relay switch and photocell, then they wire and test it for accuracy. They also read an electric schematic. The result is a full and fascinating introduction to the basics of what makes electricity and electrical devices work.
