Students begin this module by becoming familiar with the different tools — pencils, scales, erasers, T-squares, templates, and dividers — necessary to create precise and accurate architectural drawings. As students use these tools, they are obtaining valuable experience and practice in creating appropriately scaled designs, simple floor plans, accurate line work and letter work, difficult wall section drawings, foundation plans, and front elevation plans. In addition to handling sophisticated measurements, students learn the complexities of reading architectural blueprints.
